We invite the students from LIFE Male STEAM Academy to join us for a powerful session that emphasizes the importance of data-driven decision-making using the lens of entrepreneurship.
Students will tour their local innovation and prototype center before working in teams to develop a startup idea pitch to help them understand how both successful STEM professionals and entrepreneurs base their decisions on hard data and facts.

This vibrant and captivating mural showcases Sustainable Development Goal #8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, which promotes inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all. On September 16, 2022, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced a first of its kind cybersecurity grant program appropriating over $1 billion to state, local, and territorial governments across the country. Over the next four years school districts and communities in the Greater Philadelphia Region will be infused with federal funds to improve their cybersecurity posture.

Intro to CRISPR
TEACHERS & CRISPR Classroom team up with Alfred Ely Beach High School to introduce twenty five Medical Explorer Post students to CRISPR and gene editing careers through CRISPR Classroom’s Meet a Scientist program. During this session Explorers will gain (1) an improved awareness of biotechnology careers, (2) a better understanding of the current possibilities and the problems in the industry, (3) a deeper appreciation for the real power of the scientific method. Mr. Becton is a retired National Park Service Interpretive Park Ranger who has set a standard of excellence in connecting Americans to historic sites and national parks through his inspiring narrative and music.
